Since Confucius,Confucian sages have attached great importance to "learning" and "people".When the fire broke out in the stable,Confucius asked "did it hurt the man?" instead of "did it hurt the horse?" This shows that the core spirit of Confucianism lies in the emphasis on people rather than "property" and other "gains and losses are determined by fate".Mencius put forward the distinction between human beings and birds, and regarded "the difference between human beings and those animals" as the root of his theory. He proposed to "seek the conscience of losing",exercise self-restraint and set it up first.Although Confucius and Mencius did not say "learn to be human",the connotation of "learn to be human" has already been included in their theories. In Yintun's youth he set his heart on politics. After Subing's advice,he gave up the pursuit of becoming an official and turned to Chengyi. His thought of "learn to be human" originated from the spirit of Confucianism in the pre-qin period. In this idea,"human" does not mean a perfect saint, but a gentleman opposite to a mean man. What a gentleman should study is introspection and self-cultivation.He acts on the principle of morality and morality.Through the cultivation of body and mind,a gentleman can find the root of the living. And he can stand up the moral subject, not lost in the material.Yintun's learning is oriented towards moral achievement. He's principle is "the cultivation of virtue is fundamental, the study of literature and art is the last".However,Yintun doesn't think it's ok not to read the classics. In his theory of moral cultivation,it is vital to read the classics carefully. What's more,a gentleman should communicate with his teachers and friends. In addition,he also attaches great importance to honesty,self-restraint,and put forward that "One must remain conscious".The final foothold of Yintun's doctrine lies in his practice. He proposed that "practice is the key to learning",attaching importance to "courage","don't do too much",and "self-achievement is fundamental to everything".Yintun's thoughts are mainly inherited from Chengyi, and he is somewhat dull,so he can't carry forward philosophical connotations. His studies finally disappeared.
