| Wen Tong is one of scholar painting pioneers.His achievement inspires Su Shi to establish the theory of scholar painting which influences the development of scholar landscape painting in the following generations.The Ink Bamboo Painting collected in the Taibei National Palace Museum which is the most famous one and is believed as the genuine work by Wen Tong,meanwhile there is an another similar Ink Bamboo painting housed in the Guangzhou Art Museum.Both of them still haven’t been researched deeply so far.This first chapter attempts to reestablish the oeuvre of Wen Tong and explore its origin based on the earlier texts.Thereafter,through the research of Li Kan’s and Ke Jiusi’s works and paintings,which were both representative figures of the School of Huzhou in the Yuan dynasty,the second chapter will conclude the Wen Tong’s possible techniques and his theory of painting.On the basis of analysis above-mentioned,combining the investigations of the history of collection as well as the secondary evidences such as signatures,seals,colophons of the two versions,the third chapter will make an attempt of answering problems such as the time order,the recognition of good and bad of the Taibei version and the Guangzhou version. |
