A Report On The Translation Of The Service Robot On The International Federation Of Robotics

With the development of globalization and the coming of "Internet plus" era,the industry of artificial intelligence has made a remarkable progress.Service robot has become a new blue ocean in the field of business competition,and many companies have devoted themselves to the research and development of service robots.On this basis,it is particularly important for the science and technology administration department of government to make forward-looking decisions and for the companies to hold the development trend of the international service robots.This report is based on the English-Chinese translation project of Beijing Institute of Science and Tecnology Information that the writer has participated in.The project texts are 18 articles from the official website of the International Federation of Robotics(IFR),including the definition of service robots,product categories,statistics and 15 case studies of the service robots.The project is divided into two parts:the translation of scientific and technical information and the writting of science and technnology information articles.Therefore,this report will also be developed on the above two activities.The writer will use detailed translation examples to explain the difficulties in translation,summarize the terminologies and their translation norms that appear in this service robot translation project,further discuss how to improve statement by means of abbreviation,transliteration,and dealing with non English vocabularies,and also how to perfect translated text through the methods like adjusting the order,passive conversion,demolition and comprehensive translation.Meanwhile,she will also expound how to write the information articles based on translated text.By doing all this,the writer wants to provide some references for the translation of service robot and its related fields.
