Under the era of globalization,the political,economic,and cultural exchanges between countries have been unprecedentedly unprecedented,which has given birth to the global mobility of the population.The unprecedented autonomy of people can not only choose to change their nationality,but also freely choose their beliefs and values.Identity is no longer a static identity,but a dynamic,constructive process.As a multi-ethnic country,the United States is studying the development of its literature.The marginal characteristics of ethnic literature are changing with the return of global vision and the prosperity of post-colonial context.Since Trump took office,the United States,which is regarded as a melting pot of culture and a sacred place of worship,has implemented a series of high-pressure policies that restrict immigration.Therefore,a comparative study of the consciousness of seeking identity in the creation of American ethnic writers has revived vitality.This article selects a parallel study between Chinese and Afghan immigrant writers Amy Tan and Khaled Hosseini.By analyzing their own cultural identity crisis caused by immigration,they compare the similarities and differences of their identities in their literary creations,thus revealing how all cross-cultural writers balance the identity crisis.The first part mainly analyzes the positive and negative effects of the identity crisis on the literary creations of Amy Tan and Khaled Hosseini.First,by interpreting what is“identity”,the source of the identity crisis of the two is indicated.The second is to further explore the impact of the identity crisis on both life and literature: on the one hand,the US restrictions on China and Afghanistan in immigration policies have led to cultural identity and performance crisis.On the other hand,it is precisely because of the identity crisis that they become both literatures.The driving force of creation makes it more dynamic in reconstructing identity narratives.The second part summarizes the three similarities between Amy Tan and Caled Hussein in reconstructing the identity narrative in literary creation by means of text reading and reviewing the literature: using autobiographical narrative and shaping identity The recognized characters follow the original national literary tradition.The third part discusses two different points in the literary creation of Tan Enmei and Khaled Hosseini: stylistic style and creative theme.The fourth part compares the similarities and differences of identity between Amy Tan and Khaled Hossein in literary creation,and summarizes the effective ways to obtain identity for intercultural writers,that is,to make up the gap between cultures and arouse the collective of human love.Unconscious emotions,in order to get rid of the identity crisis of drifting without belonging.
