Islamic art has always been considered a relatively closed art. However,it is not difficult to find the imprint of the Central Plains culture in the Islamic architectures after careful observation. With the gradually deepening of the study of the mosque architecture,it is increasingly possible to prove that the yearnings for the beauties within different nations and different beliefs are consistent.Based on the abundant historical materials of Islamic culture, history and the evolution of mosque architecture,as well as combined with a large amount of examples of the mosque brick and stone that the author personally visited, this article brings the art of mosque architecture into a macroscopic cultural pattern integrating Islamic culture and Chinese culture, where several aspects involving the introduction of Islam into China, the transformation of mosque style, the decoration techniques and characteristic patterns of the Central Plains mosque, the analysis of the Central Plains brick and stone carving patterns, and the influence of the Central Plains culture on Islamic culture and art are described and analysed.By expounding the origin and development of the Central Plains mosque and the Sinicization of the decorative patterns, the reasons for the influence of the Central Plains culture on the art of decorative brick and stone carvings of the mosque are summarized. My thesis is based on the research results of the predecessors, and has a relatively novel research on the brick and stone carving art of the mosque, focusing on the ones with the characteristics of the Central Plains. This is an interpretation of the brick and stone carving art of mosque architecture from the perspective of ethnology, religion, art and history, having certain objectivity, reference and innovation.
