| Guo Zhu refers to Guo Pu,a member of the Eastern Jin Dynasty,who wrote notes for four books.They are Erya,Dialect,Shanhai Jing and Biography of Mu Tianzi.They are very rich in content and contain various aspects.The language in the annotations reflects the general characteristics of the Chinese language in the Middle Ages and is a series of corpus for studying the development of the Chinese language in the Middle Ages.Meanwhile,function words are an indispensable part of the grammatical system of the middle ancient Chinese language and even in every period.The use and development of function words in medieval Chinese are reflected in Guo Zhu.This paper tries to study the whole system of function words in Guo Zhuzhong from the linguistic point of view,in order to understand some of the situation of function words in medieval Chinese.his paper is divided into six parts:The first part is an introduction,which is divided into three sections.The first section mainly introduces the author’s life and Guo Pu’s annotations.The second section mainly discusses the current research situation of the book.The third section explains the research value of Guo Zhu’s function words.Chapter 1: According to the use of Guo Zhu’s adverbs,adverbs are divided into seven categories: degree,scope,time,connection,negation,mood and state adverbs.Chapter 2 Prepositions are divided into four categories according to the occurrence of Guo Zhu’s prepositions: location,time,reason,resort,means and method.Chapter 3,according to the use of Guo Zhu’s conjunctions,divides them into ten categories: juxtaposition,acceptance,transition,hypothesis,concession,causation,purpose,choice,progression and modification.Chapter4,according to the usage of Guo Zhu’s auxiliary words,divides them into structural auxiliary words and modal auxiliary words.In order to have a more in-depth understanding of the situation of a single function word.The research method of this paper.Firstly,it combines static description with analysis and induction.Make exhaustive statistics of function words in Guo Zhu,and then use static description to describe their usage in detail,including the types of function words in Guo Zhu and the syntactic position in the example sentences.At the same time,the function words in Guo Zhu are displayed intuitively and comprehensively by using statistical methods.Secondly,the combination of general research and personality research.There are not only the overall grasp of function words in Guo Zhu,but also the case study of typical function words. |
