The study of the conceptual design of film and television animation based on "ghost culture" is intended to explore the originality and peculiarity of the conceptual design of film and television animation based on "ghost culture".The graduation project is the re-creation of the story of the Hariti.12 drawings and several character scenes both with conceptual design are presented in this project,of which the sizes are designed based on different story lines.The aim of the project is to create novel films matching the current modern culture and promote the development of ghost culture more in accordance with the expression of our era through the integration of traditional ghost cultural and film and television conceptual design.The main research content is about the following three parts.The first part is background and requirement report.Firstly,the proportion of conceptual design of film and television animation ghost was investigated in depth by literature review and online-information collection.And then the development of the conceptual design of film and television animation at home and abroad were compared and analyzed their influence on films.The second part is about the creation theory.Herein,conceptual design,the key point in the pre-production of film and television animation,is the main research object.The theory system of film and television animation of conceptual design was constructed by combing the theory of ghost culture and three part including: creating scripts(construction of the world view),modeling(extraction and integration of the conceptual elements)and constructing atmosphere(visual transformation and the style generation).After the analysis of several representative classic film and television conceptual design works thoroughly,the theory of conceptual design was refined and explained using specific cases,and the common creative methods of film and television conceptual designis preliminarily concluded.The third part is the creating process of the concept design of Hariti.This chapter aims to study the unique phenomena after the integration and collision of ghost culture and and conceptual design of the film and television animation through creation practice.This part is composed of topic basis,re-creation of original story,script design,subject image setting,sub-camera design and style establishment,and drawing draft.In this creation,the theoretical research on the creating scripts,modeling and constructing atmosphere in the aforementioned chapter ran through the whole creation process,and the ghost elements in the ghost culture were flexibly used into the picture.In summary,Chinese "ghost culture" provides broad creating resources and space for film and television animation,which can enlighten the artistic creation by the introduction of this expression format.It can not only enrich the film art types and the creating methods,but also contribute to the consummating of artistic creation theory.
