A Study Of Word-formation In Qiubei Zhuang Language

This paper takes Qiubei dialect,the northern part of the Zhuang dialect,which belongs to the Zhuang and Dong Language Branch of the Sino-Tibetan Language Family,as the research object.Based on the corpus obtained by the author’s own field investigations,this paper summarizes and collates the phonetic svstem of Qiubei dialect,and further analyses the word-formation method of it.This paper is divided into five chapters:Chapter one:The introduction,mainly explains the related situation of Qiubei Zhuang language,the previous studies,the source of corpus,the purpose and significance of the research and the situation of the pronunciator.Chapter two:Qiubei Zhuang phonetic system,mainly combs the initial,vowel and tone of Qiubei Zhuang language,and summarizes the characteristics of syllable structure.Chapter three:The compound word-formation in Qiubei Zhuang language,divided into five categories:juxtaposition,modifier,subject-predicate,verb-object and complement,and analyzed one by one.In addition,Qiubei Zhuang compound words and Wuming Zhuang compound words are compared to observe the similarities and differences between themChapter four:The morphological word-formation of Qiubei Zhuang language,affixation and inflection are discussed respectively.Affixation including prefixes and suffixes,while inflections including initial inflections,vowel inflections,tone inflections and comprehensive inflections.In addition,the aff-ixes of Qiubei Zhuang language are compared with those of Wuming Zhuang language,Duan Zhuang language,Longzhou Zhuang language and Jingxi Zhuang language,and the homologous affixes and heterologous affixes are analyzed respectively.At the same time,this paper studies the phonetic inflection of Qiubei Zhuang language and compares it with that of Duan Zhuang language.Chapter five:The conclusion,summarizes the word-formation methods of Qiubei Zhuang language,and also summarizes the shortcomings of the study.
