With the development of humanistic psychology since 1960 s,students' emotional attitude as a new course objective attracted great attention.And as the anxiety of emotional attitude is attracting more and more attention,classroom anxiety will have a great influence on English learners.Among the many factors causing classroom anxiety,except the learners' own factors,teacher is also an important factor that causes English classroom anxiety.Although many scholars have revealed the relation between English learning anxiety and other learning factors in the existing studies,there is not much research on teachers.Therefore,this paper mainly discusses the overall situation about the “teacher-caused” anxiety in high school English classroom through investigation and research,then analyzes the main factors of “teacher-caused” anxiety,and puts forward the related suggestions.Through the questionnaire survey combined with the interview method,this study investigates the overall situation of the “teacher-caused” anxiety in high school English classroom.The questionnaire survey and interview involve six aspects: teachers' language,teachers' questioning,teachers' classroom activities,teachers' error correction,teachers' evaluation and teachers' bad mood.This paper aims to solve the following two research problems through questionnaire survey and interview:1.What is the overall situation of the “teacher-caused” anxiety?2.What are the main factors of the “teacher-caused” anxiety in senior high school English classes?The research findings:(1)The “teacher-caused” anxiety in high school students' English classroom learning is above the average level.(2)The “teacher-caused” anxiety is related to teachers' language,teachers' questioning,teachers' classroom activities,teachers' error correction,teachers' classroom evaluation and teachers' bad mood.Among them,teachers' error correction and teachers' evaluation are the main factors of “teacher-caused” anxiety in high school students' English classroom learning.Based on the above findings,this study intends to put forward teaching suggestions to reduce the “teacher-caused” anxiety in English classroom learning of senior high school students,and summarizes the deficiencies and prospects of this study.
