A Comparative Study Of Politeness Terms In China And Kazakhstan

With the implementation of the “Belt and Road Initiative”,cooperation and exchanges between China and Kazakhstan in the political,economic and cultural fields have been widely developed.There are still some obstacles to the exchanges between the two peoples in cross-cultural situations.This article selects the polite language of the two countries to conduct research.The article analyzes and explains the address,greeting,blessing and thank-you in Chinese and Kazakh,and compares the similarities and differences between the two polite expressions in China and Kazakhstan.The study found that both countries in China and Kazakhstan are countries that pay special attention to courtesy and etiquette.In the daily life and the process of dealing with people,they pay attention to the use and expression of polite language.Some polite expressions of the two countries are consistent in use.And can be translated directly.However,there are great differences between the two countries in the specific use and expression of address,greeting,blessing and thank-you,which requires us to pay more attention to cross-cultural communication.The main reason for such differences is that China and Kazakhstan have different cultural backgrounds and contexts.The research in this paper makes some contributions to the better exchanges between the Chinese and Kazakh peoples under the cross-culture.I hope that in the future research,I will continue to pay attention to some obstacles in the exchanges between the Chinese and Kazakh peoples under the cross-cultural period and analyze them.Research to better promote exchanges and cooperation between China and Kazakhstan.
