A Research On The Special Four-character State Adjective Of Yuan Dynasty Drama

Yuan drama is a literary style used for performance.It attaches importance to the use of spoken dialect,which can basically reflect the actual use of spoken language in the yuan dynasty and is an important material for the study of the language in the yuan dynasty.In this article,a special kind of four-character descriptive adjectives in the Yuan drama have been analyzed and concluded,to discover its unique features in sound,grammar,semantics and pragmatics.This paper is divided into six chapters to analyze and study this kind of special four-character condition adjectives in Yuan drama:The first chapter is the introduction,which mainly introduces the reason of the topic selection,the corpus source,the research object and its particularity,the research method and the related research summary.The second chapter is phonetic analysis,including three aspects: The first,on the basis of exhaustive statistics of this kind of words,to explore the characteristics of their phonetic forms;The second is to analyze the characteristics of the use of phonemes and rhymes of such words,and to explain their characteristics by combining the principles of phonetics and pronunciation,the principle of order of soundness and the theory of phonetics.The third is to compare the differences between these words and the special four-character condition adjectives in modern Chinese.The third chapter is the analysis of grammar.The first is to explore the combination ability of this kind of words,respectively with the combination of verbs,nouns,pronouns and structural auxiliary words,as well as its ability to act as a sentence component independently.Secondly,the ability of these words to act as various syntactic components is investigated,and it is found that they can act as adverbials,attributives,predicates and complements,which are the most common adverbials.Finally,on the basis of analyzing the syntactic functions of AABB stateadjectives in Yuan drama,this paper compares the syntactic functions of these words and AABB state adjectives in Yuan drama.The fourth chapter is the semantic and pragmatic analysis,including two aspects:one is to classify the real things and phenomena described by these words,mainly including the three categories of mimicking,painting sound and material,and analyze the expression effect by combining the example sentences of the corpus.The other is to explore the pragmatic expression effect of such four-character condition adjectives from the pragmatic level,it is found that it has three pragmatic effects,which are to increase the emotional color and image color of sentences and to highlight the oral characteristics of Yuan drama.The fifth chapter analyzes the reasons for the emergence of such four-character adjectives,mainly from the perspective of internal and external causes.The internal cause is mainly the inheritance of the traditional word format and the phonetic relation of double sound and alliteration.External factors mainly include the influence of language contact and the need of pragmatic environment.The sixth chapter is the conclusion,which is a systematic summary of the full text,and points out the shortcomings of the article.
