"Tong" is one of the oldest Chinese ideographic character,"Tong" thought plays an important role in Chinese traditional culture,especially in the culture of Confucianism,Taoism and Buddhism philosophy in China."Tong" highlights the profound ideological connotation,with influences on political,economic and cultural values of people.As one of the important signifier symbols of Chinese tradition,"Tong" has profound research value.Firstly,based on the study of predecessors on "Tong",this study analyzed the sematic system of "Tong".Secondly,this article analyzed the deep meaning of "Tong" by studying chinese classic books,Book of Rites,The Analetcs,Laozi,Mozi.Thirdly,the author investigates and studies the learning situation of Thailand students and primary and middle school students in Thailand while they were learning the word formation of"Tong",and puts forward the teaching suggestions according to the current situation of"Tong" thought teaching.Finally,the author interprets how to put "harmony but not Sameness" "Datong" "Shangtong"in the international Chinese teaching,highlighting the value of "harmony but not Sameness" "Datong" and "Shangtong" ideas in intercultural communication.
