Teachers’ beliefs are ideas that teachers themselves think can be convinced in the field of education or teaching.Usually includes teachers’ views on classroom teaching,language,learners,learning,content,teachers themselves or teachers’ role(Borg,2001).As the core part of teachers’ professional quality,teacher belief is the commander and soul of the teacher’s spiritual world,and plays a dynamic,basic and comprehensive role in the professional development of teachers(Zhao,2004;Ji,2006).International Chinese volunteer teachers are a new force that cannot be ignored in the international promotion of Chinese.The study of the international Chinese volunteer teachers’ beliefs can enrich the existing research results of teacher beliefs and have a positive effect on the study of teacher cognitive theory.The author refers to and draws on the research methods of teachers’ beliefs at home and abroad.I selected the international Chinese volunteers who were selected by Hanban in 2017 and sent overseas to teach Chinese.The sample of 116 people was selected as a research sample,and a questionnaire survey was conducted.Conducted semi-structured interviews with 12 of them to try to explore the teacher belief system of international Chinese volunteers,in order to provide reference for the training of international Chinese volunteer teachers.This paper is divided into seven chapters.The first chapter is the introduction part,which introduces the research background,research purpose and research significance of this paper.The second chapter is the research review and the definition of related concepts.The research results at home and abroad are discussed around the theme of"teacher beliefs",and the related concepts appearing in this paper are defined and explained.The third chapter is the research design,and introduces the research framework,research methods and research questions of this research in detail.The fourth chapter is the analysis of teachers’ beliefs of international Chinese volunteers.Through questionnaires and interviews,the author tries to construct the teacher belief system of international Chinese volunteers,and analyzes the dimensions of the international Chinese volunteer teachers’ belief system.The fifth chapter discusses the influencing factors of the belief of international Chinese volunteer teachers,and combines the interview content to analyze the influencing factors.The sixth chapter combines the research results of this paper and puts forward suggestions for the teacher training of international Chinese teachers.The last chapter summarizes the research results of this paper,points out the inadequacies of this research,and proposes prospects for future research.
