With China’s growing national strength and international status to stabilize, China’s influence is growing in the international community. Chinese--as an effective tool to understand China and communicate better with China, has been paid more and more attention worldwide. The enthusiasm for the people from different countries competing to learning Chinese has been on a rise. The pattern of Chinese teaching is teaching the students give priority to change from the previous study in China for teaching mainly in overseas countries.Thailand was among the first countries that be sent volunteer Chinese language teachers and sent the largest number of countries each year. The pre-post training of volunteer Chinese teachers working in Thailand began in 2003 and has formed its own unique training pattern. But at the same time it also has some problems need to be solved, in particular the “country-specific” Chinese teacher training is imperative. At present, Chinese volunteer teachers is made up mainly of fresh graduates and postgraduates. Most of the volunteers lack work experience in destination country. Therefore, only its "country-specific" pre-post training of volunteer Chinese teachers, volunteers have more "country-specific" Chinese teaching ability, more quickly adapt to the environment of the destination country, into Chinese teaching and promotion work. This article summarizes the training circumstance and the real demand of volunteers in recent years, launches an idea of the country-specific pre-post training of volunteer Chinese teachers working in Thailand based on country-specific Chinese. Propose some pertinent suggestions, such as set up the goals of the “country-specific” Chinese teacher training, based on the real needs of the volunteers, optimize the contents of the “country-specific” Chinese teacher training, enrich the modes of the training, improve the assessment of the training. Hope to propose some pertinent suggestions for the future of the training of volunteer Chinese teachers working in Thailand, and to play a role in enlightenment for another countries’ training of volunteer Chinese teachers.
