The study investigates 1308 secondary school students from 3 middle vocational schools in Shifang,Aba prefecture Mao county and Dujiangyan,to discuss the relationship between negative life events,post-traumatic stress disorder,post-traumatic growth,resilience and meaning in life of secondary school students after the earthquake disaster.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)In ten years after Wenchuan earthquake,the scores of secondary vocational students on PTSD were relatively lower.The negative perceptions of both negative cognitive and emotional changes and alertness in PTSD score was high;the secondary vocational students score was high on PTG.The three dimensions of interpersonal relationship,learning pressure and punishment in negative life events score was high;the scores of resilience and strength dimension in psychological resilience were higher than optimistic dimension;life enthusiasm and life goal dimension in life sense were high;(2)The detection rate of PTSD of secondary vocational students was 21.16%.The detection rate of female students was higher than that of male students.The detection rate of non-residential students was higher than that of residential students.The detection rate of non-class cadres was higher than that of non-residents.Class cadres,parents have the highest detection rate of remarriage.(3)The resilience was significantly different in gender,and the resilience of boys was significantly higher than that of girls;There were significant differences in negative life events,resilience and PTSD in the place of birth.The negative life events and PTSD scores from urban secondary vocational students were significantly higher than those from rural secondary vocational students.The level of resilience of secondaryvocational students from urban areas was significantly lower than that of secondary vocational students from rural areas;(4)There was a significant difference in resilience,PTG and meaning in life in whether or not to serve as a class cadre.The scores of resilience,PTG and meaning in life of secondary vocational students who were serving as cadres were significantly higher than those who were not class cadres;(5)Negative life events was significantly negatively correlated with resilience and meaning in life,and positively correlated with PTSD.Negative life events significantly negatively predict resilience and positively predict PTSD and PTG;(6)Resilience was significantly negatively correlated with PTSD,and positively correlated with PTG and meaning in life.Resilience significantly predicts PTG and meaning in life,and significantly negatively predicts PTSD;(7)PTSD was significantly negatively correlated with PTG and meaning in life,and PTG was significantly positively correlated with sense of life.PTSD does not have a significant predictive effect on PTG,but it can significantly predict the meaning in life in a negative direction.PTG can significantly predict the meaning in life in a positive direction.(8)Life events can affect the meaning in life by PTSD,PTG and resilience,respectively.The mediating effect of PTSD,PTG and resilience is significant;(9)Negative life events have significant chain mediation effects through resilience and PTG affecting meaning in life;(10)Negative life events have significant chain mediation effects through resilience and PTSD affecting meaning in life.
