This is a translation report whose original text is the first four chapters excerpted from Clean Protein: The Revolution That Will Reshape Your Body,Boost Your Energy--and Save Our Planet,mainly working on answering the following three questions,that is,what is the truth of protein,how much damage animal protein has done to our health and environment because of our obsession with it,and why it can gain such sweeping popularity.A far cry from popular understanding about protein is this book,which help people tell the right information from the wrong and form a brand new one.Under the guidance of Catford's translation theory,like Translation Equivalence,this paper focuses on its application in the translating and lays out the difficulties the translator encounters in translating and her solutions to these problems.To handle adjectives,conversion of parts of speech and extension have been adopted;to deal with terminologies,diction and image shift have been employed.In the last chapter,summaries have been made on the experience and lessons the translator has drawn from this project as well as the problems to be solved.
