Research On Alien Images In American Science Fiction Movies

Since 1950 s,American science fiction film gradually started to develop,along with the vigorous development of the film industry,the science fiction has a dreamy color films gradually hot,began to occupy half of the American film market.The alien movies are more popular all over the world,and Avengers: Infinity War ranks first in the global box office in 2018.and the alien movies is a major part of American science fiction film,from our exploration of the universe,the moon appears as the beginning,to the alien visits the earth,to the whole space,the stars alien story between these sixty years people in science fiction movie about aliens fantasy has never stopped,the alien world of fantasy nor does not stop.This paper takes the alien image building in American science fiction movies as the research object for a long time.From three chapters and three dimensions,this paper introduces the conclusion of three attitudes of "I","I" and "other" held by Daniel-Henry Barlow,respectively,to classify and discuss.Firstly,the images of aliens in American science fiction films are sorted out and studied.From the perspective of whether aliens can communicate with humans,the images of aliens in American science fiction films are divided into interactive and non-interactive types.Interactive aliens are more humanoid in appearance and more intelligent in appearance.The external images of non-interactive aliens are exaggerated and horrible,and most of them are monsters.Secondly,combined with the fanaticism,hatred and kindness of the plasticizer "I" towards "the other" held by Daniel-Henry Barlow,this paper discusses the different identities of human beings towards the alien "the other" under these three attitudes.Finally,the paper makes a comprehensive analysis of the shaping of alien image from two aspects: the ideology and the shaping strategy of alien image.
