The Communication And Change Of Sun WuKong’s Image In KoreanFilm And Television Works

As we all know,Journey to the West is one of the most popular Chinese novels in the world.It has also spread to other countries around the world,such as Korea,Japan and so on.There are also many films and TV works adapted from Journey to the West in China and other countries.However,due to cultural differences,film and television works in other countries present different characteristics from those in China when adapting Journey to the West,which will reinterpret the cultural connotations of the original works to suit their culture.This paper will study the spread and change of Monkey King Sun Wukong’s image in Korean movies and television works in Journey to the West,and study how the image of Monkey King Sun Wukong changes in Korean culture and movies and TV dramas,and how its influence is different from that of China.This paper chooses the characters of Monkey King Sun Wukong in Korean movies and TV works such as Travel to the West,Flying Super Sailing and Return of Journey to the West as the research focus,analyses the characters and characteristics of Monkey King in Chinese movies and TV works of Journey to the West and Korean movies and TV works,makes a comparison and draws a conclusion.The full text consists of five chapters.Chapter one introduces the reasons for choosing the topic,the significance of the research,the research results and research methods of the predecessors.In the second chapter,the dissemination of Journey of Journey to the West in Korean films and TV works is mainly introduced,including Travel to the Flower,Flying Super Sailing and Return of Journey to the West,and the acceptability of this adaptation is investigated and analyzed.In the third chapter,through the characters of Monkey King in various movies and TV works and books,we study his appearance,body shape,language and behavior.Chapter Ⅳ makes a comparative study of the similarities and differences of Sun Wukong’s appearance,language and behavior in Chinese and Korean film and television works.In the fifth chapter,the similarities and differences of Sun Wukong,s appearance,language and behavior in Chinese and Korean film and television works are studied.Chapter Ⅵ,conclusion.The research shows that South Korea’s Travels to Flowers,Flying Super Sailing and Journey to the West are re-interpreted by modern people’s thoughts and feelings in the background of modern stories.Sun Wukong’s character design is also quite different from the original,which sets the character,appearance,language characteristics and behavior style of the characters by humanizing the animals.The story only uses the relationship between the characters in the original work,and its story is totally different from the original.The most important feature of Korean "Journey to the West" works is to adopt modem elements of epochal significance.However,Sun Wukong in Chinese film and television works shows the characteristics of the original works of China.The background of each work and the appearance characteristics of Sun Wukong have not changed much.
