The Study Of "Play In The Play" On Ancient Chinese Classical Drama

As a kind of dramatic creation technique,"play in the play" can create a dramatic effect so that we can find some clues and foreshadowing in one play.This paper takes the ancient Chinese classical plays which collected in books and handed down to now as the research objectto analyze the structure types,artistic functions and performance effects of"play in the play".The dissertation consists of three parts:the introduction,the body and the conclusion.The introduction part sorts out the research status of this topic,clarifies the current academic definitions of the concept of "play in the play",determines the research content and scope,establishes research ideas and methods,and explains the innovation points and deficiencies of this paper.The body part is divided into three chapters.The first chapter analyzes the type and structure of the "playin the play" and the connection between the internal and external plays.The second chapter focuses on the artistic function of the structure of the "play in the play",comprehensively analyzing the function of this structure in shaping characters,influencing the plot,and enhancing aesthetics,thereby summarizing the use of this dramatic creation technique.The third chapter,based on the development of ancient Chinese opera,puts "play in the play"into the history of the opera's developmentand analyzes the "play in the play" in the ancient Chinese opera from the perspectives of audience,actors and market.Based on the intensive reading objects,on the basis of fully reading the ancient literat ure and theoretical books on drama,this paper combines micro-analysis with macro-gener alization,unifies of specific cases and the overall view,and comprehensively uses a variet y of methods to systematically study ancient Chinese classical operas that contain the struc ture of the "play in the play".
