A Report On The Translation Of The Trademarks Act,2010

This translation report is based on the translation practice of The Trademarks Act,2010,which was published by Uganda.There are a lot of long sentences,causing lots of difficulties in the translation process.This report summarizes the translation techniques of long sentences in The Trademarks Act,2010.Through analyzing the features of long sentences in the source text,translation techniques are introduced and discussed,which includes linear translation,inversion,division and integrated translation.The four translation techniques are employed to deal with translation of long sentences in the source text.It is hoped that this report may provide some references in dealing with the long sentences translation of legal English with efficiency.
