English reading is an important part of high school English teaching.Effective reading teaching can improve students' language ability, cultural awareness, thinking quality and learning ability comprehensively. This also conforms to the new requirements in the newly issued High School English Curriculum Standards(2017 edition)for high school English teaching. For a long time,in order to improve the English reading level of high school students, many front-line teachers and researchers have explored diversified teaching methods extensively, among which there is no lack of research on the guided learning plan and stratified teaching mode.Guided learning plan can help students prepare the class effectively, get rid of passive learning state of students and promote students' independent learning.Stratified teaching is to teach students in accordance with their aptitude according to their objective learning differences. While implicit stratified learning plans are about to make multilevel students achieve academic improvements without having negative impact on students' self-esteem.Combining the advantages of these two teaching modes, the teaching mode of implicit stratified learning plans is about designing learning objectives, learning questions, assignment and evaluation standards for different levels and not making students feel specially treated.A one-semester-long teaching experiment is conducted in Affiliated Middle School of Manzhouli College,Inner Mongolia University to check the influence of implicit stratified learning plans on students' reading attitude, reading autonomy and reading abilities.A total of61 students from two parallel classes are selected as experimental subjects, including an experimental class(29 students)and a control class(32 students).Implicit stratified teaching plans are applied to the experimental class, while the control class adopts the traditional teaching plans.Questionnaires, tests and interviews are used to collect relevant data.Through the analysis and comparison of the data, this study finds that the implicit stratified learning plans raise the students' reading scores to some extent, which is helpful to stimulate their interest and learning autonomy in reading and improve their ability to interpret and analyze content or discourse from different perspectives. In the meantime,it is also suggested that the teachers should pay much attention to the students and their performance and emotion after using this learning plan and make immediate correction.
