The development of Wi-Fi and cellular data network drives the boom in mobile electronic industry as well as the peak of mobile learning.The latest mobile and information technologies give students various and advanced avenues to obtain skills,widen their eyes and accelerate their learning speed.Traditional teaching and learning are facing a great challenge.It facilitates scholars' studies on mobile learning in order to improve teaching and learning.Mobile technologies are widely used in mobile English learning.However,studies that go into non-English majors' intention toward mobile English learning and their current status of mobile English learning are rare.This paper is based on Technology Acceptance Model(TAM)and the Framework for the Rational Analysis of Mobile Education(FRAME)to investigate non-English majors' mobile learning and their intention toward mobile English learning,which helps students,teachers and the operators of mobile devices have a better understanding and a deeper look of the current status of non-English majors' mobile English learning.It also explores the gender differences in non-English majors' mobile learning and their intention toward mobile English learning.Furthermore,their intention's influencing factors and the relationship among factors are investigated.319 sophomores of different non-English majors from Jiangxi Normal University participate in the questionnaire survey about their intention and status of mobile English learning.SPSS.23 was used to analyze the intention questionnaire and the status questionnaire.Results demonstrate that they prefer to learn English by using mobile devices rather than in traditional methods.Their intention toward mobile English learning is positive.Moreover,attitude tendency does not significantly influence behavioral intention.Social aspect can direct influence behavioral intention.However,their frequency of mobile English learning is not high.Significant gender differences in mobile English learning status and intention are identified.Pragmatic advice for mobile English learning is offered to students,teachers and the operators of mobile devices.
