By updating people's original structure of knowledge, modern technology offers them diverse and advanced channels to enjoy the lifelong learning experience, making them keep pace with the times. Mobile Learning enables individual learners to have personalized and continuous learning at any time and any place. With the help of the 3rd and 4th generation telecommunication and WLAN(Wireless Local Area Network)technology, the applications of mobile learning have been on the rise both at home and abroad. Many researchers have studied the development of mobile learning, its practical models, and factors affecting its usage. As for the studies of factors affecting mobile English learning, most of the researchers adopt Technology Acceptance Model(TAM)as the theoretical framework, in which behavioral intention is regarded as the starting point of all acts and most proximate predictor of behavior. However, studies concerning behavioral intention of mobile learning haven't been given enough attention in China and studies particularly on mobile English learning are more limited. Therefore, based on Acceptance model of Mobile English Learning, this study is designed to investigate and explore the key factors affecting university students' behavioral intention of mobile English learning in order to fill in the gaps of mobile learning researches. The structure of this thesis is manifested as the following.Firstly, on the basis of Technology Acceptance Model(TAM) and by adding four extraneous latent variables, self-efficacy, major relevance, system accessibility and subjective norm, the author constructs the Acceptance Model of Mobile English Learning.Secondly, the author proposes 4 aspects of research hypotheses, assuming each factor of extraneous latent variables in the model influencing the endogenous variables behavioral intention(BI), attitude toward using(AT), perceived usefulness(PU), and perceived ease of use(PE).Thirdly, in the Acceptance Model of Mobile English Learning, this thesis is aimed at analyzing the data collected from the questionnaires on the College Students' Behavioral Intention of Mobile English Learning in Chongqing University and testing the hypotheses by taking advantage of software SPSS.19 and AMOS.21. In the measurement model, the author also conducts the data reliability test and the model fitness test. Both tests are proved to be acceptable according to the related standards.Fourthly, through the data analysis, the author reaches a conclusion of this study,i.e., perceived usefulness and subjective norm are two major factors directly influencing undergraduates' behavior intention of mobile English learning. In the end of this thesis, based on the results of this study, the author comes up with some suggestions for educational professionals on how to make reasonable and effective efforts to encourage and guide students in mobile English learning.
