Study On The Inheritance Of The Hsi Wang Mu Of Belief In Northwest China

The Hsi Wang Mu is an important goddess derived from the myths and legends of the ancient Qiang Rong nationalities.In the long-term deduction and change,she has formed the multifarious structure of name connotation,the multiple combination of godlike characteristics and the widespread distribution of folk beliefs,and has become the representative of gods that the whole Chinese nation generally respects and worships.The northwest region is the birthplace of the Hsi Wang Mu culture.The natural geography,historical relics,oral narration,belief concepts,customs and activities related to the Hsi Wang Mu in the northwest region have spread from inside to outside and from near to far to form several representative cultural basis points.Together,they constitute the regional distribution pattern of the vicissitudes of the Hsi Wang Mu culture,implying the logical change relationship and inheritance track in different time and space backgrounds.This article uses the method of " doing big problems and small ones" to explore the changes,inheritance characteristics,cultural connotation and development direction of Hsi Wang Mu 's belief and custom culture in Northwest China from Jingchuan in Gansu to Zongjiagou in Qinghai to Tianchi in Xinjiang.In the discussion,based on the field investigation information and using the related concepts of cultural anthropology such as cultural communication,cultural ecology and cultural holism,the paper analyzes the spreading situation of the Hsi Wang Mu belief culture in the northwest.The introduction part of the paper briefly describes the background of the topic,the purpose and significance of the research,the current research situation and research methods.Firstly,the text focuses on the cultural relationship between the belief and custom culture of the Hsi Wang Mu in the development process,and discriminates the deep origin relationship between the cultural geography of the Hsi Wang Mu myth and the flow and spread of beliefs and customs by analyzing the evolution of the name and godliness of the Hsi Wang Mu,the divine significance of the Kunlun,the relationship between the change of territory between China and Qiang Rong,and the relationship between the myth and religion of the Hsi Wang Mu.Then,from the perspective of the three cultural basis points formed in the process of the transmission of Hsi Wang Mu's belief custom innorthwest China,namely,the myths and legends,belief custom activities and humanistic architecture of Jingchuan Huishan in Longshan series,Huangyuan Zongjiagou in Qilian series and Fukang Tianchi in Tianshan series,the basic outline and dynamic characteristics of the development and change of Hsi Wang Mu's belief custom culture in northwest China are discussed and analyzed.Finally,the research focuses on the modern development of the belief culture of the Hsi Wang Mu,and makes in-depth reflections on how the belief of the Hsi Wang Mu has become the spiritual support of the public,the specific ways to transform the belief culture of the Hsi Wang Mu into industrialization,and the specific development of the Hsi Wang Mu Culture from an international perspective,in order to explore the way forward for the internationalization development of the Hsi Wang Mu Culture under the background of " the belt and road initiative".
