The Artistic Characteristics And Performance Analysis Of Tan Dun's Eight Memories In Watercolor

Since the reform and opening up to the outside world,the creation of piano works in China has flourished and many excellent composers have emerged.Mr.Tan Dun is one of them.The theme of Tan Dun's music creation is novel,combining western creative techniques with Chinese traditional music elements,and transmitting Chinese traditional culture to the world with music.This paper takes Tan Dun's first piano solo recollection of eight watercolor paintings as the research object.The first chapter of the paper summarizes Mr.Tan Dun's life brief and the creation background of his works,and through understanding Mr.Tan Dun's study experience in his student days and the creation of works on other subjects,To further understand the creative background of "the memory of eight watercolor paintings";The second chapter analyzes the national characteristics of the works and the musical elements such as polyphonic melody and free handling of the artistic features of watercolor painting.In the third chapter,the processing of polyphony melody,the grasp of Rubato rhythm and the application of pedal are discussed.Through the study of the representative Chinese piano works,"memory of eight Watercolor paintings",in order to improve the skills of playing Chinese modern piano works and grasp the style of the works,At the same time also for oneself to continue to study the performance of Chinese piano works laid the foundation.
