Human beings live and develop in the media,and the role of the media in human information,knowledge,emotions,communication,conquest,entertainment and experience is everywhere.The media narrative extends the intrinsic function of the media and also expands the media outward space.The cross-media narrative greatly exceeds the scope of the expression and dissemination of a single medium.It not only rewrites the narrative style,but also makes the narrative bring more experience to human beings.The perception dimension expands spectacularly.From novels to movies to the advancement of video games,the narrative is integrated and new in the cross-media perspective.In 1999,director Chris Columbus adapted Asimov’s robotic short story"Double Hundreds" to bring the movie "Machine Steward" to the US screen.In 2004,Alex Proyas directed the film "I,Robot",which was adapted from Asimov’s robot series,in the United States.In 2018,David Cage merged Asimov’s "robot" concept with the narrative elements in the adaptation of the film,and deduced the interactive film game "Detroit:Change" in artificial intelligence.So far,cross-media narrative A new stage.This paper analyzes the robot image and story content in Asimov’s novel under the motif of "Robot and Human Relationship",and adapts the movie"Machine Steward" and "I,Robot" from the robot image and story text.The narrative technique of Asimov’s robot novels is interpreted,and the cross-media narrative features of the video game Detroit:Changing People from novel to film to game are analyzed,in order to explore the emancipative meaning,finite characteristics and video games of cross-media narrative.The narrative experience brought by the new cross-media narrative carrier enhances the epoch-making significance created by "human extension."...
