| The Hong Kong opera Genesis is one of the best commercial TV series.It has created many characters with distinct personality.There are roughly four basic types.The first type is the enterprising figures appearing in the image of entrepreneurs,such as Ye Rongtian,Ma Zhiqiang and Xu Wenbiao;the second type is the business value figures who put commercial profits first,such as Ye Rongheng and Ye Rongjin;the third type is the survival value figures who are forced by life and have been eating for mixed food,such as Zhang Zili and Tianning;the fourth type is to regard entrepreneurship as self-reliance.I realized,not too concerned about the profit level of self-realization figures,such as Huo Jingliang,Fang Jianping.This paper mainly studies the enterprising personality of the entrepreneur image,one of the four basic types of characters in Genesis.This paper first elaborates on the history of Hong Kong’s commercial drama and the status of Genesis in the history of Hong Kong’s commercial drama.Then it elaborates on the characteristics of the enterprising personality of the entrepreneur image in the Hong Kong business drama Genesis and analyses the social and environmental impact of the enterprising personality of the entrepreneur in the drama.From the point of view of playwright,this paper explores the writers’ skills in shaping characters in plot design,theme thought,characters’ emotional relationship,drama structure,characters’ language style and so on.This paper elaborates on the academic value of the enterprising image in Hong Kong’s commercial war dramas: first,the breakthrough in the characterization of the commercial war dramas;second,the image of entrepreneurs reflects the enterprising spirit;third,the comparative study of the characters in the mainland and Hong Kong’s commercial war dramas,mainly including the differences between moral models and real human nature;and the differences between the female supporting roles of the virtuous and the powerful. |
