| Chinese traditional sport,Health Qigong,is deeply loved by Qigong lovers at home and abroad because of its special characteristic of three-in-one,conditioning bodies,breath and spirits.And the internationalization of Health Qigong has been developing rapidly with the establishment of the International Health Qigong Federation.During the process,we found that the translation about Health Qigong is widely used,and it is getting more and more attention.From the publication of related books and major journals,the translation research of Health Qigong has become a hot topic in the circles of Qigong and translation.However,there are still many problems that need to be solved,which not only involves the teaching of Health Qigong and the public’s acceptance of the translation,but also affects the specific translation strategies to resolve the cultural conflicts.In order to speed up the international development and improve the efficiency of the promotion of Health Qigong,the specialization of the translation about Health Qigong is an urgent need.This paper uses the literature method,statistical method and expert interviews.We have found that: for the translators,they are not professional enough for the translation of Health Qigong at this stage,and do not understand Chinese and foreign culture deeply enough;for the methods of translations,literal translation and transliteration are more common in the selection of translating,and even in the in the process of free translation,the true meaning of terms is not accurately expressed;for the translation management,there is no specific department for the unified management of translations,which causes a variety of translations of Health Qigong,leading to translation confusions and other issues.Based on the understanding of essences of Health Qigong,combined with the latest research results of translations,the government should propose corresponding policies and regulations,give stable funding,and improve the training of translators for Health Qigong;for the types of terminology,and core meaning and cultural connotation of Health Qigong,appropriate translation method should be chosen and the use of it should be standardized;relevant organizations or institutions are supposed to be established for supervision and management,laying the foundation of the standard translation of Health Qigong and international communication. |
