Apology speech act plays an important role in daily communication and is an important part of politeness culture.Moreover,understanding and mastering correct apology speech act can make us better communicate with others in life.For second language learners,it is more important to understand the culture of apology in the target language and master the strategy of apology in the target language.In this paper,first of all,on the basis of relevant theories of modern linguistics,the apology speech act in Chinese and Laotian contrast analysis,find the similarities and differences in expression and semantic function,found in Chinese and Laotian direct apology speech act seldom take the subject,use the degree adverbs and titles,but in the apology object,apology situations and match three aspects has obvious different parts of speech;Both Chinese and Laotian indirect apology speech ACTS are combined with direct apology speech ACTS,and address words and degree adverbs are used to different degrees,but there are obvious differences in address words,body language and position of degree adverbs.Chinese and Lao both have the semantic function of expressing apology and seeking forgiveness from others,but the semantic functions of the direct apology words "sorry" and "sorry" have different emphasis.The indirect apology speech ACTS in both Chinese and Lao have the semantic functions of expressing sincerity,reducing the degree of offense and saving the face of the person being apologized,but there are obvious differences in the collocation and occasions of parts of speech.And then through the questionnaire survey of guangxi university for nationalities Lao professional students in China and Laos students the use of apology strategies for investigation and study,found that students in China and Laos students under the influence of different social and gender factors,students in China and Laos foreign students use direct apology,repeat offense and promises or guarantees no longer wrong strategy has the highest frequency,using zero the lowest frequency of apology strategies.Chinese students often use the excuse tactic,while Laotian students rarely use it.Then,the author makes a systematic analysis of the similarities and differences between Chinese and Laotian apology speech behaviors from the perspectives ofcontext culture,belief culture and values.Finally,combining with the practice of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,the author puts forward some useful Suggestions on Chinese apology teaching for Laotian students from the perspectives of learners,teaching and textbooks.
