Research On The Brilliant Style In Piano Music In Romantic Period

"Brilliant style",a musical style that appeared before Chopin and was generally recognized by the Western music industry,which germinated from the period of classicism,set off a fashion trend in the late 18th century when classicism transitioned to romanticism,came to a temporary peak in the period of romanticism,and then disappeared.Hummel,Weber,Kalkbrenner,Mendelssohn and other piano performers and composers were fascinated by the brilliant style of music at that time,they created and played a number of dazzling gorgeous piano music works,and showed their new artistic value in Chopin's early piano works.In recent years,foreign academic circles have re-examined the unique value of this style,understood the impact of brilliant style on piano music and its value,which were beneficial for music appreciation,piano performance and piano teaching.In this paper,we will first study the origin of brilliant style and its historical development process,then we well find the causes of brilliant style,and take Hummel,Kalkbrenner and Chopin as the main research objects to study the features of brilliant style music and further analysis brilliant style music.After the comparative argument we will come to the conclusion of how Chopin has further developed the brilliant style on the basis of his predecessors and why Chopin s brilliant style of music has more artistic value.
