Abstract/Summary:
As an entry point for literary studies,urban-rural relations have become a hot topic in current academic research.The Independent urban-rural relations in the 1980 s has broken because of lots of factors,such as the impact of the commodity economy,the guidance of national policies,and the reform of the social system.As a group with greater mobility between urban and rural areas,rural educated youth has been influenced by two different cultures,urban and rural.And their hearts have generated large fluctuations.Therefore,based on the research of urban and rural relations between experts and scholars,this paper combines the development of Chinese society,tries to sort out the changes of urban-rural relations in the process of Chinese literature.While studying rural educated youth,it also attempts to explain how writers understand and describe the relationship between urban and rural areas in the 1980 s.The knowledge and culture of rural educated youth is an important factor that distinguishes it from ordinary farmers.This is also an important reason for their psychological fluctuations in the face of changes in urban-rural relations.First,It is both a driving force for its own development and stand-by for their enlightenment in the countryside.This dual role makes them pursue two different value appeals between urban and rural areas.Second,the status quo of urban-rural relations and the process of social modernization all affect the psychological structure of them in the face of urban-rural differences.They have anxious about identity,So they should go back to the country instead of the city.Thirdly,the rural educated youth has a dilemma in the choice of marriage and love objects under the conflict between urban and rural areas.The marriage and love model is not only influenced by the traditional novel narrative mode,but also affected by the current social reform and development.The thesis adheres to the combination of literary and cultural studies.On the basis of studying the local novels in the 1980 s,this paper explores the rural educated youth as the most dynamic part of society,and the psychological situation when facing the change of urban-rural relationship.The paper tries to explain the particularity of rural educated youth in urban-rural relations,with a view to contributing to the development of contemporary urban-rural relations in China.
