The Investigation And Research Of Chinese Tuwa Musical Instrument "Chuwuer"

Chu Wu er is a special musical instrument of Mongolian Tuwa in Kanas region,Xinjiang.The traditional "Chu Wu er" is made by a special plant called "Zarat" in this area.Its playing method coincides with the Hu Jia blowing method "larynx" recorded in ancient literature.Because of its special technique,difficulty in using it,and rare materials,there are fewer and fewer players who can play Chu Wu among today's Tuvans.In October 2005,the only Tuvai who played Chu Wu er was invited to Beijing by the Chinese Center for Folk Culture and Art and the Chinese Conservatory of Music.Participated in a series of academic research activities specially for Tuva traditional musical instrument "Chu Wu er".On December 25,2006,the old man of Yerdesi was known as the living fossil of Tuva music for his ability to blow the lost Tuva traditional instrument "Chu Wu er".Through this academic seminar,scholars made a deep study on Chu Wu er,and made a rescue recording of the music played by Chu Wu er.However,according to the current literature,the direct literature on Chu Wu er is still relatively few,and there are some controversial issues in the rare literature.Through the study of relevant documents and field investigation,this paper first has a basic understanding of the Tuwa's cultural history,national evolution,religious beliefs and Tuwa music.Then,by comparing the results of the author's field investigation with the current literature,on the one hand,it introduces the shape,performance and pronunciation of Chu Wu,music characteristics,etc.On the other hand,through the comparison between the current literature and the field survey results,The similarities and differences between the two and their causes are analyzed.Then,Chu Wu is compared with similar instruments in the same area,and some ideas are put forward.Finally,through the interview and observation of the current situation of music development in Dangchuwuer,the paper analyzes the difficulties faced by its inheritance.Difficulties and problems,and put forward the author's views."Chu Wu er" is a representative musical instrument in China.Its shape,playing method and timbre are all of ancient and mysterious color.However,for various reasons,there is a crisis in the inheritance and development of "Chu Wu er".Theauthor hopes that through his own efforts,he can have a deeper understanding of Chu Wu er,have his own opinions on the controversy existing in the existing literature,and make some contributions to the dissemination and protection of Chu Wu er.
