The Prediction Of Father Absence On Adolescents' Problem Behaviors:Mediation Effect Of Mother-Child Relationship

The purpose of the study is to investigate the predictive function of father's absence on adolescent problem behavior and the mediation of mother child relationship between two of them.A total of 1164 from12 to 15 years old adolescents were investigated in a junior high school.Their problem behavior,father's absence and mother child relationship were investigated by the self rating scale for adolescents,father's reign of middle school students and the personal affinity scale.These questionnaires have good reliability and validity,and the test of confirmatory factor analysis has been carried out in this study.Among them,for the investigation of the behavior of the problem,we use anxiety and withdrawal as the observational indicators for internal problems,and use acts of discipline and aggression as observation indicators for external problems.On the basis of correlation analysis of the mean score of variable observation,this study used the direct estimation of the original score of the variable observation topic,and used Mplus7.0 to conduct the latent variable structural equation model fitting test for the relationship between the variables.The results showed that the father's absence has significant positive predictive effect on the internal and external problems of young people.And the relationship between mother and child only played a role in the significant part of the dielectric between the father and the absence of internal problems of teenagers,but the mediation didn't show a significant level on statistics between father's absence and adolescent external problems.The predictive function of father's absence on adolescent internal problems reflected on body interaction,father and son's feeling,the relationship between parents and the relationship between father and grandfather.and also part of the relationship between mother and child influence adolescent behavior problems.The results show that,first,father absence has negative influence significantly and directly influence for teenagers to internal problems,the greater the degree of father absence,adolescent anxiety / depression and withdrawal more serious;second,father absence can partially by enhancing the relationship between mother and child,so as to reduce adolescent anxiety / depression and withdrawal,that the mother-child relationship is the protected factor between the internal problems of adolescent and father's absence;third,the negative effects of father's absence to adolescent behavior problems are mainly embodied in the relationship between body interaction,father and child feelings,affection of the relationship between the parents and father and grandfather,the low quality of these aspects will be partially influenced by the mother child relationship to influence the internal problems of teenagers.This study made some breakthroughs or innovations in research objects,contents and methods,but also showed some shortcomings,which provided directions for future research.The research results provide an empirical study basis for teenager's family education and school education of psychological health,and it has good practical significance for father's participation in rearing,family treatment of individual students problem behavior and personal interaction group counseling.
