A Critical Study Of Lenin’s "Proletarian Culture School"

In the process of social development in Soviet Russia,Lenin took the basic principle of historical materialism as the starting point,deeply realized the importance of cultural construction,and combined the actual situation of Soviet Russia to bring about the theory of socialist cultural construction and formed the cultural construction thought of Lenin.The October Revolution transformed socialism from theory to reality and achieved a qualitative leap from science to reality.The Lenin culture construction thought successfully guided the success of the Soviet socialist culture and provided guidance on how the socialist countries built and developed the culture.In Lenin s thoughts of socialist construction in his later years,Lenin stood in the position of Marxism and sharply criticized the cultural trend of "Proletarian Culture School",exposing the wrong ideas of the "Proletarian Culture School" and formulating the basic strategy for the development of proletarian culture,successfully guided the Soviet socialist culture.Through the study of Lenin’s" Proletarian Culture School",this paper finds that Lenin’s cultural construction thought still affects the construction of socialist culture with Chinese characteristics,and provides enlightenment and experience for the realization of the grand goal of socialist cultural power.This paper is divided into four parts:The first part:Lenin criticizes the social and historical background of the"Proletarian Culture School".After the October Revolution,Soviet Russian culture developed slowly and the task of cultural construction was difficult.In order to defend the new Soviet regime,Lenin borrowed the Marxist cultural theory and transformed his cultural construction thought from theory to reality in solving various problems.The second part:Lenin criticized the content of the "Proletarian Culture School".In order to save the backward cultural situation of Soviet Russia,the "Proletarian Culture School" attempts to create a "pure" proletarian culture,separate from the people and reality in cultural creation,and detach from the party’s leadership in cultural leadership.Directly denying human cultural heritage and stand on the Machian philosophy in cultural guiding ideology.To this end,Lenin made a sharp critique of the"Proletarian Culture School" and profoundly exposed the wrong roots of the"Proletarian Culture School".The third part:Lenin’s strategy for the development of proletarian culture.In order to prevent the erroneous re-enactment of the "Proletarian Culture School",strengthen the building of socialist culture,and consolidate the Soviet regime,Lenin put forward many ideas and concrete measures to develop the proletarian culture.The fourth part:Lenin criticized the "Proletarian Culture School" for its enlightenment on the construction of socialist culture with contemporary Chinese characteristics.Lenin proposed specific requirements and measures for the construction of socialist culture.This idea reflects the general law of how economically backward countries build socialist culture.Therefore,in the process of developing culture,China can learn from Lenin’s cultural construction experience.
