A Research On The Narrative Art In Liu Heng's Rural Novels

Liu Heng is an important representative of the writers of "new realistic novels" in the middle and late 1980 s.His rural novels were mainly written between 1985 and 1998.It is also known as "Hongshui valley series" because “most of them are set in the mountain villages named Hongshui valley in the west of Beijing”.This paper takes the narrative art of Liu Heng's rural novels as the research object,starts from the specific narrative theory,exploring its unique narrative style and flexible narrative wisdom,then exploring its important role in text expression.In the first chapter,the paper analyzes the narrative time processing techniques of Liu Heng's rural novels in detail,and explores the unique in narrative time processing from three aspects: the dual setting of time starting point,the desalination of time trace,and the art of time length transformation.In the second chapter,the multi-level features of Liu Heng's rural novels in narrative space are interpreted in detail,and three types of "scenes" in the text,namely "Intimate small scenes","Closed relatively single scenes" and "Unquainted no-man's land",are explored.In addition,the spatial features and narrative effects of these three scenes are elaborated in combination with the works.In the third chapter,from the narrative perspective,narrative voice,narrative focus of Liu Heng's rural novels in the narrative orientation of a detailed interpretation.Exploring the "Province" and "Verbose" in the work of the two perspectives of the transboundary mode;The narrator intentionally imitates the narrative voice in terms of tone,intonation and words.The potential problem of setting up three kinds of labels: appellation,punctuation and character adjectives.
