| Reading teaching is an important part of English teaching,cultivating students’reading ability plays a vital role,but the reality of junior high school,English reading teaching isn’t satisfactory,most English teachers pay attention to teaching than abilities,and students passively accept knowledge,there is little interaction between teachers and students,and the teaching of reading focuses on teaching vocabulary,analysis and translation,this kind of traditional English reading teaching ignores the guidance of students’ learning methods and the cooperation and interaction between students’,so many students gradually lost the interests and confidence in learning English.Based on this form,the author applies cooperative learning to the teaching of English reading in junior high school.By adopting the method of action research,I hope this study can change some inefficient phenomena in English reading classes in the past,to improve students’ interests in English reading so as to improve their English reading scores.The author conducted a four-month,two-round action research on forty st udents from Classl,Grade2 of a high school in Baicheng city,using the methods of literature review,questionnaire survey,grade table,interview,test and reflectio n log.Based on the actual characteristics of English reading teaching in junior high school,this study divided English reading teaching into three stages:pre-rea ding,while-reading,post-reading.Reasonable design of cooperative learning to Eng lish reading teaching practice,using SPSS22.0 before and after the test of the d ata analysis found:cooperative learning can promote students to complete Eng lish reading tasks;cooperative learning can mobilize the initiative and enthusias m of junior high school students in English reading and stimulate their interest s in English reading;cooperative learning plays an active role in improving st udents’ English reading scores.Cooperative learning is beneficial to stimulate students’ interests,increase their active participation and sense of cooperative learning to the successful practice of junior high school English reading teaching,which also brings some enlightenment to junior high school English teachers who are in the same predicament. |
