Research On Chinese Classical Popular Music Works In The 1980s

The word popular music was introduced into China from the western countries in the 1920 s and 1930 s.Since China was in the war era of saving the nation from extinction,the development of popular music stagnated.It was not until the 1980 s and with the beginning of reform and opening up in China that popular music first poured into the mainland from Hong Kong,Macao and Taiwan.Only in 1980 s,and just for that ten years,a large number of popular songs were produced in such a short period.Chinese popular songs have gradually separated from the western popular songs in terms of genre,music structure,music style,singing methods and other aspects of imitation and reference,forming the characteristics with localization.As time goes by and the choice of the audience,a batch of classic works have been produced from many popular songs.First of all,this paper takes the classic works in the 1980 s as the research object,and defines the two key words,namely popular music and classic music through the narrative method in music history,so as to clarify the scope of the research.On this basis,through music philology and diachronic methods,the development process and main artistic features of Chinese popular music are outlined concisely.Secondly,this article describes the development of popular music in the 1980 s in stages from the perspective of music history to explain that “a song is the voice of its time”.(1)On the other hand,classical songs also reflect the spirit of the times.Thirdly,through the analysis of music noumenon,combined with the influence of era culture and ideology,the era characteristics and music noumenon attributes of popular music in the 1980 s are comprehensively summarized to refine the classic attributes of the classic popular music works in the 1980 s.Finally,combining with the current situation of popular music,this paper reflects on the reasons for the chaotic development of the popular music system,summarizes the excellent cultural connotation of the classic music works in the 1980 s,and inherits the essence of the classic works.So far,there is no complete history of popular music in China,nor is there a history of dating or special topics.Therefore,I hope to build a systematic theoretical research framework of popular classical music works in the 1980 s through a comprehensive study of the classic works in the 1980 s from the aspects of history,times,works,artistic characteristics,etc,which will add a brick to the research of Chinese music history.At present,popular music has become an indispensable spiritual food in people's life.However,the creation of popular songs has entered the “fast food music era”.How to let teenagers judge whether music is good or bad and understand the true,the good and the beautiful aspects in music,these problems gradually appear.The reflection and research on these issues is also my responsibility as a postgraduate student majoring in Chinese music history.
