Research On Phonology Of Chinese Dialects In Hohhot

The Chinese dialect of Hohhot is the representative of Jin language in Inner Mongolia,and it is an important part of Jin language outside Shanxi.Hohhot is the capital of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.It is located in the central part of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and borders with Shuozhou,which is the the northernmost part of Shanxi provience.According to the dialect division,The Chinese dialect of Hohhot located in the junction zone of Zhanghu region and Dabao region.The Hohhot has 4 districts,4 counties and 1 Banner.The urban dialect belongs to Zhanghu region,Jin language,and the surrounding counties belong to Dabao region,Jin language.The internal differences of the Chinese dialect of Hohhot are more obvious,and there are several regular patterns of them.Many factors resulted in the face of Hohhot Chinese dialect today,such as Historical immigration,administrative division adjustment,ethnic integration,language contact and so on.Among the existing research results,the phonetic research on the Chinese dialect of Hohhot is still insufficient,especially the research on the phonetics of Hohhot Chinese dialectsof the whole area is not enough.In order to describe the phonological features of Hohhot Chinese dialect in a more detailed and comprehensive way,to compare the internal phonetic differences between counties,we take the Chinese dialect of Hohhot as the main research object,and investigated the representative points of the dialects,the old town Yuquan District and Huimin District of Hohhot,comprehensively describing the phonetic features of Chinese dialects of Hohhot,including phonetic system,tone sandhi,light tone and retroflex suffixation.On this basis,it compares and analyzes the differences between Mandarin and Medieval Ancient Chinese.At the same time,this paper sorts out the phonetic system of the subordinate counties and banners of Hohhot,and explores the internal differences and distribution rules,discussing some special phonetic phenomena such as literary and colloquial readings and the disapperence of entering tone.The full text is divided into the following seven parts.The first chapter is"Introduction".It briefly introduces the geography,history,humanities and dialects of Hohhot,discusses the research background,purpose,objects and methods of this paper,and introduces the symbolic used in the article.According to the survey materials,the second chapter,"The Introduction of phonological system of dialect of Hohhot",sorts out the phonetic system,matching relationship of initials,finals and tones,tone sandhi of disyllabie,retroflex suffixation and the homophone table of Chinese dialects in Hohhot,describing the Chinese dialect in the urban area was in detail.The third chapter compares the dialect of Hohhot and Mandarin.The fourth chapter is the comparison between the dialects of Hohhot city and the Midieval Ancient Chinese.The fifth chapter is the internal comparison of urban dialects,focusing on the discussion of the differences between old and young people and literary and colloquial readings.The sixth chapter is the comparison between the dialects of Hohhot and the surrounding dialects.It takes the representative phonetic system of different dialects in surrounding banners and counties as examples to explore the degree of intimacy and developing relationship between dialect division and dialect.In the end,the final chapter summarizes the full text.
