The Research On Cross Pattern Of Miao And Innovative Applications

Cross-shaped pattern is one of the most basic,oldest and varied patterns in Miao costumes.This paper basing on the resource of the Miao costumes in the National Costume Museum of Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology and field study.The study starts from the history of the craft,the production steps,the characteristics of the costumes,the relationship with the costumes,Departure,summed up the decorative style in some areas.And analysis of Miao cross-shaped structure characteristics,aesthetic value and the reasons for the epidemic.Finally,I try to design a Cross pattern and put it on the clothes with the modern aesthetic and craft,combined with Miao cross pattern modeling.I hope I could make a contribution to the inheritance of minority costume culture through my limited research ability.Through my research on the innovation of cross pattern,there will be more designers who love national culture to participate in the innovative design of national costume.
