In the history of the Practical Learning in Korea,Li Yi was an important scholar.He seeks the practical theory from Li Tuixi and Li Ligu who were famous Neo-Confucianist,closely linked to the predecessors’ theories and social reality.And then,he set his own theory and built the first school in the history of South Korea’s Practical Learning — — Sung-hu school,and tried to provide some theoretical references for those reality problems in the society.South Korea’s Practical Learning had been in a period of great prosperity in the time of Li Yi.The theories of future generations of South Korea’s Practical Learning either based on Li Yi,or affected by him.Therefore,it seems to be very necessary to discuss the ideas of Li Yi’s theory of Practical Learning.This article mainly from the following aspects to discuss the connotation of Li Yi’s Practical Learning thought and its development.First of all,analyzing Li Yi’s life and the environment around him,from his family environment and the economy,politics,ideology of the society,to find the origin of Li Yi’s thought;Secondly,analyzing the basic philosophy of Li Yi’s position,to discuss his philosophical basis of the Practical Learning thought.Under the premise of “Qi”,Li Yi claims that "Qi you da xiao","Xing zhi yu qiu","Xin ke huo wu",which contains Li Yi’s observation and knowing of the world;And then,under the guidance of Li Yi’s philosophical thoughts foundation,analyzing his Practical Learning thought which mainly reflected in political reform,economic reform,notifying and applying ancient classics,pay attention to the sign test;In the end,trying to sort out the influences of Li Yi and his school in Practical Learning and the modernization of South Korea.In a word,the interpretation of this dissertation,about Li Yi’s practical learning thought,is not only a discussion and analysis to the development of South Korea’s Practical Learning thoughts,but also from a broader academic background to explore the the development and influence of traditional Confucian culture in overseas.
