In the initial stage of Chinese teaching in Thailand,due to the different language backgrounds between Chinese teachers and Thailand students,some teachers will use Chinese,Thai and English,these three languages as the medium language to assist Chinese teaching.However,there is a lack of research on the use of three languages,which is Chinese,Thai and English,as a medium language in the initial stage of Chinese teaching in Thailand.This paper focuses on the five issues to be studied:(1)the overall situation of the teacher's medium language;(2)The use of three medium language in Han,Thai and English of teachers with different language proficiency(3)the use of three mediums of Chinese,Thai and English of teachers with different teaching experience;(4)the phenomenon of code switching among teachers with different language proficiency;(5)the phenomenon of teachers' code switching in different teaching experiences.This paper transforms 10 Chinese teachers' video about 500 minutes into linguistic text,and then we carried out quantitative statistical analysis and description.We also did the surveys about the use of three medium languages in Chinese class to 28 teachers and 120 Thailand students.The case analysis and survey results show that teachers with different language proficiency and teachers with different teaching experience,which is different both in the situation of using medium language and code switching.In the different discourse,the differences are different.The author analyzes the reasons according to these differences,and put forward the corresponding teaching suggestions.There are seven chapters in this paper.The first chapter is the introduction,mainly expounds the source of this article,previous studies,the research methods and the significance of this paper.The second chapter introduces design of the research,including the basic situation of the object of study,case analysis and the steps of the survey and interview.The third chapter analyzes the use of three languages in Chinese,Thai and English.We divided the teachers' discourse into deixis,demonstrative words,description words,the transitional words,the words to ask question,feedback words and summary words on the basis of the teacher's discourse function.The paper analyzes the use of media language under these seven categories.The fourth chapter describes and analyzes the phenomenon of the code switching which are Chinese,Thai and English.The fifth chapter analyses the results of questionnaire survey and interview between teachers and students.The sixth chapter,based on the case analysis and questionnaire,puts forward some teaching suggestions on the use of media language in the primary stage of Chinese teaching in Thailand.The seventh chapter summarizes the full text and analyzes the shortcomings of this paper.I hope this research can provide some real cases and data for the future related research,and hope that the conclusions of this study can provide some targeted suggestions for the use of media language in the initial stage of Chinese language teaching in Thailand.
