Martin Bucer was live in Strasbourg in first half of 16thcentury,meanwhile,The Reformation broke out.So he got himself inevitable into the setting for it.But instead of passively involved,he is actively caters to it,with friendship and prestige.Of course,His role is limited.Because he did not live in this city forever,and exile from this place in 1546.In addition,It led to the premature death of the reform that the restrictions of the City Council,the interference of the Anabaptism,Evangelist and other religious factions,and some of its own inappropriate practices,most importantly,the invasion of the Duke of Lorraine,France.It is the circumstance which in early modern history that makes Martin Bucer's,a typical theologian,desire would become a fantasy.This is the primary cause.As the Strasbourg church reform leader,as a preacher,he by teachers,writers and theologians to play their role.His two biggest contribution was the establishment of a state church and an efficient education system.As a result,we still have reason to believe that he has done a little bit of effort for the reform of the land,although his role is very limited.Western scholars have some research and data collection on the reform of the city and Bucer,but the study on the relationship between them has not been seen.So this article is to study this aspect in order to see the whole picture of the reform in this area.The first part of this paper introduces the background and process of the reform of Strasbourg.It mainly discusses the geographical position,the economic situation,the political situation and the religious environment.After the interpersonal Martin and Strasbourg reform process to discuss the reform imperative,Brussels also just use this opportunity.The second part is the main part of the article.From Bucer's concept of Church,education,marriage and the Jewish view,we would discuss the role of Bucer.He is also,by the concrete example analysis.The last part is the conclusion.A comprehensive analysis of the Brussels role,can not exaggerate,also cannot ignore,he must be put to the particular historical environment.Actually,he is also limited by the times,so it is also a contradiction aggregation.So,the reform died is not entirely the fault of Bucer,and we have reason to believe that he is to reform to play a certain role.
