According to system justification theory, most individuals possess a motivation to defend, bolster, and justify the status quo. This motivation, which is clearly at odds with support for collective action aimed at changing the extant social system.Previous studies shows that system justification is negatively associated with anger and anger is positively associated with collective action.our research aims to examine the effects of system justification on collective action(including disruptive and nondisruptive collective action)and whether the effect of system justification on collective action is mediated by anger.Based on questionnaire method, study 1 collected survey data in universities in Wuhan, getting a valid sample of 185 students to examine the relationship between system justification and collective action. The result shows that system justification is negatively associated with collective action.Study 2 consists of two sub-studies,based on a sample of students and a sample of adults with working experience to examine the effect of system justification on collective action and the potential mediating effect of anger.91 students participated in Study 2a.In this study,we used experimental inductions of system justification. The result shows that the effect of system justification on collective action was mediated by anger.Study 2b was based on a sample of 88 adults with working experiences.Getting the same results with study 2a.
