| Modern Ideology has been an indispensable part to China’s novels created in post-1976 era,and it has helped shape images of subjectivity in those novels.If we want to have a clear knowledge of novels in this period,we must take into account the important role played by modern ideology.This essay aims at analyzing the evolvement of the images of subjectivity in the post-1976 novels via modern ideology and trying to reveal how these images being affected by modern ideology and how literature being affected by the society and culture.The focus will be on the development of images of subjectivity and modern ideology as there is interplay and mutual independence between these two factors.It is of both theoretic and practical significance.This essay consists of four parts;to begin with,the author will introduce the idea of modern ideology and give it a functional definition;secondly,the author will put forward a new concept—images of subjectivity,and analyze their components;and put subjective images in post-1976 novels into a historic and literary perspective;then with analyzing these two concepts and analyzing the texts of post-1976 novels,the author will arrive at several key words and three groups of subjective images,the connotation and evolvement of which will be elaborated by applying theories and analyzing texts.And lastly the emphasis will be on the correlation between modern ideology and images of subjectivity in post-1976 novels.With the four parts we can not only have a clear understanding of how modern ideology influences the formation and development of subjective images but also the creation of subjectivity of subjective images via studying texts. |
