The Literary Interpretation Function Of "In-situ Research" Method Proposed By Jian Jinsong

In the development of contemporary Chinese literary theory,there are three problems: the first is that western literary theory was introduced into China massively after the reform and opening up.But the situation that western literary theory "occupied" the market of Chinese literary theory was emerged in modern and contemporary China because of the unbalanced communication between Chinese literary theory and the westerrn,even the Chinese mainland literary theories collectively appeared “aphasia” in the 1990 s.This problem is more obvious and serious in the process of globalization in the 21 st century.The second is that academics tend to bury themselves in seeking answers from all kinds of ancient books,when thunderstanding and interpretating the literature.This method of literary interpretation which is "behind closed doors",caused the misinterpretation of some certain literature.And the third is that academics are increasingly unable to calm down and tend to be utilitarianism.Scholars proposed their own different views and opinions on these issues,which can't completely solve the above problems,but is also a kind of attempt.Zhang Jiang and Jian Jinsong,respectively from the mainland and Taiwan are of the representative,the "forced interpretation" theory of Zhang Jiang does reveal the problems emerged in contemporary Chinese literary theory,but the theoretical supposition he put forward to solve the problem is still fundamentally influenced by western literary theories.The “in-situ research” method proposed by Jian Jinsong,scholar of Taiwan,is a literary theory based on China's national conditions,which combined the traditional "indoor" commentary interpretation and outdoor field research,and thus not only get rid of the bondage of western literary theory,but also question the extra attention to commentary which has been hidden in traditional Chinese literary theory.It advocates that after the comprehensive understanding of commentary of all previous dynasties,we also need to research on the real land and verify with the “in-situ” in order to make the conclusion more validity and scientific.In the development of theory,it combines western positivism,fieldwork and the ancient Chinese literary,which provides a new perspective for literary interpretation,and not only makes the Chinese literary theory return to academic circles again,but also reveals the importance of theoretical innovation based on the conditions of our country.This research method also suffers academic criticism because of its limitation,but its solid study attitude and scientific research methods is an effective attempt to solve the problems emerged in the literary theory of contemporary China.This article aims to fully understand the “in-situ research” method and point out the effectiveness and innovation of this research method for solving the problems in the literary theory of contemporary China with related research examples,by analyzing the practical problems of “in-situ research” method such as the concept,the origin,the operational procedures and the limitations.
