A Study Of Repetition In Li Peifu's Novels

The words,images,plots and themes in Li Peifu's novels show varying degrees of repetition.Repetition is a huge and complex problem in Li Peifu's novel texts.Recognizing the repetitive phenomena in Li Peifu's works and understanding the significance derived from these phenomena provide the possibility to interpret the diversity of the connotation of Li Peifu's works.Based on a close reading of the novel text,this paper examines Li Peifu's long-term and systematic thinking of the people's spiritual world in the plain of central Henan under the framework of repetitive discourse.The paper is divided into six parts to discuss.Introduction.This part first introduces the origin of researching the repetition of Li Peifu's novels;then combs the current academic research status of Li Peifu's novels,and then points out the possibility of further exploring the "repetition" system research;finally,it introduces the research ideas of the paper,and explores the expression of Li Peifu's concern about "human" as the main body in the repetition.The first chapter defines the concept of "repetition",and then analyses the combination of Li Peifu's novel research and repetition.The repetition of Li Peifu's novels is not only reflected in rhetoric,but also in the sense of narratology.It is the repetition of narrative content,form and theme between text and hypertext.Chapter two is mainly about the repetitive content of Li Peifu's novels.It mainly discusses the plain art world created by Li Peifu's novels from two aspects: image repetition and theme repetition.Li Peifu's novel reuses animal and plant imagery such as "cow dung cake flower","rotten knotweed","insect nest egg","dog" and life imagery such as "snack box" and "house" which have typical characteristics of the central plain of Henan Province.This shows the unique living environment and cultural philosophy of the plain world in the middle of Henan Province,and promotes Li Peifu's novel creation to form a series of literary works with the background of "plain in the middle of Henan Province".In this series of literary works,Li Peifu's novels have maintained consistency in theme for a long time,repeating his writing from the power theme,moral anxiety theme and reconstruction theme,expressing his thoughts on the collision of life,culture and ideals.Chapter three starts with the repetitive narration of Li Peifu's novels,and makes a concrete analysis of the repetitive narration of Li Peifu's novels and a search for the meaning of the text.This chapter focuses on the projection of multiple narrative perspectives and the narrative mode of multi-text sharing.The use of multiple narrative perspectives in Li Peifu's novels forms a kind of different repetition of narrative perspectives.The accompanying texts such as inscriptions,appendices and postscripts are the multiple perspectives outside the internal narrative perspectives of the text and potentially participate in the narrative of the novel,which forms the multi-angle expression of the novel text.The narrative mode of multi-text sharing includes presupposition construction,block collage and double-line structure.Li Peifu repeated the time presupposition of "how many years ago" at the beginning of many novels,which made the narration of the story more powerful in the pulling of time and time.Repeated use of block collage method and multi-point blossom to narrate separately,which facilitates the random combination of different types of stories and reduces the constraints of structure.Reuse of the double-line structure and the relationship between the two lines can point to the countryside and the city in the plain world,yesterday and today,which make the novel more three-dimensional and facilitate the multi-level discussion of the life and spiritual status of different groups and classes in the plain area.Chapter four transits from the surface of repetition to the meaning space of repetition,and explores the humanistic implication of Li Peifu's novels from the perspective of repetition.The core purpose of literary creation should not avoid the dimension of "human" and the collision relationship between "human" and everything around it.Therefore,this chapter discusses that Li Peifu's novel pays attention to the people under the transformation of plants,countryside and society in repetition,digs deeply into the hidden psychology of the people in the plain,and displays the spiritual state of the people in the plain.Focusing on people from the perspective of plants,plants such as grass,trees and flowers expand from basic natural attributes to humanistic attributes to realize the understanding from original ecological writing to spiritual ecology.From the perspective of the countryside,this paper focuses on people,analyses the richness and complexity of the rural people's personality,and probes into the survival philosophy of the plain people,such as "running" philosophy,"face" philosophy and "small" philosophy.From the perspective of social transformation,we should pay attention to people and discuss the problem of human variation and alienation of interpersonal relationship in special times.On the basis of summarizing the foregoing,the conclusion elaborates that Li Peifu tells the story of the plain in the framework of repeated discourse,pays attention to the spiritual world of the plain people,and achieves the spiritual expression beyond the individual in repeated writing.At the same time,it points out the negative impact of the repetition of Li Peifu's novels.
