As one of the most outstanding writers in the "Four Great Artists of the Early Tang Dynasty",Wang Bo’s parallel prose occupies the vast majority under the overall influence of the current literary trend. It can be said that Wang Bo’s parallel prose creation is the most vigorous one in his life.Wang Bo’s parallel prose has obvious characteristics in the transitional period of literary style: on the one hand,it has immersed in the splendid atmosphere of parallel prose in the Six Dynasties,on the other hand,it has the high atmosphere endowed by the new era. Therefore,Wang Bo’s parallel prose has always been regarded as the representative of the parallel prose in the early Tang Dynasty, such as "Collecting Lotus Fu","Preface to Tengwang Pavilion","Yizhou Confucius Temple Stele" and so on.Wang Bo himself and his parallel prose works have also become the research hotspot of later generations.Nevertheless, there have been plentiful research results on Wang Bo and his parallel prose.Few people pay attention to the process of image construction of Wang Bo’s literary history and the acceptance of Wang Bo’s parallel prose works in later generations.Generally speaking, the process of Wang Boqi’s image construction in literary history has gone through three periods, namely, the praise and praise of the Tang Dynasty’s native people, the derogation and doubt of Wang Bo from Song to Ming Dynasty, and the objective understanding of Wang Bo’s image and status by scholars in Qing Dynasty. The change of people’s attitude towards Wang Bo reflects the literary style, scholar’s style, cultural good taste and social mentality in different periods. The difference. The acceptance of Wang Bo’s parallel prose in later generations also roughly experienced three periods. On the whole, the Tang Dynasty took Yang Jiong,Du Fu,Han Yu and other people as representatives, and highly respected Wang Bo’s parallel prose. This shows the high pride and confidence of Tang people in the literature of this dynasty. However, with the change of social environment, scholar’s mentality and literary concepts after the Tang Dynasty, many Song people criticized Wang Bo’s parallel prose. They either started from the perspective of language style,or from the perspective of allusions,or from the standpoint of orthodoxy, objected to Wang Bo’s character, and then pointed the criticism at Wang Bo’s parallel prose works, reflecting the aesthetic pursuit of the Song people which was quite different from that of the Tang Dynasty. The Purpose of Literary Criticism of Hepian Wen in the Period of "Variation".From Yuan Dynasty to Ming Dynasty, the understanding of Wang Bopiwen basically followed the views ofSong people. In the Qing Dynasty, parallel prose entered a revival period, and parallel prose literature gradually matured. Therefore, the acceptance of Wang Bo’s parallel prose reached a stage of summing up the views of predecessors. In this period, the study of Wang Bo’s parallel prose tended to be in-depth and comprehensive, and a large number of imitations of Wang Bo’s parallel prose appeared in the creative field. The ultimate result of people’s acceptance of a literary work is to make the literary work classical and establish its status in literary history,as well as Wang Bo’s parallel prose works. From Zhao Song Dynasty to the Republic of China and even today,Wang Bo’s parallel prose works have gradually formed their classical status in the continuous study of critics in past dynasties and in the selection of numerous literary anthologies, and some of them have become well-known masterpieces.
