Peer interaction is a kind of social interaction between children and individuals of the same age.Peer interaction is an important part of children's social interaction and also the main content of children's social development.Pre-school education stage is a critical period for the formation and development of Social competence with peers.Peer interaction ability can not only play a positive role in promoting children's social interaction ability,social cognition and social adaptation,but also plays an important role in the formation and development of children's good personality,self-awareness and healthy personality.Previous studies have shown that parenting styles and executive functions are important factors affecting children's peer interaction.Therefore,the purpose of this study is to explore the relationship among parenting styles,executive function and peer interaction of children aged 3-5 years old,and on this basis,to explore whether executive function plays an intermediary role in parenting styles and peer communication of children.In this study,90 parents and teachers of 3-5-year-old children were investigated with EMBU developed by Yue Dongmei et al.and Social Competence with Peers Scale developed by Zhang Yuan.Their executive functions were tested with Day— Night Stroop Task,Reverse Digital Task and Dimensional Change Card Sorting(DCCS).The research results are as follows:(1)Excessive interference and protection of parenting styles have significant negative correlation with social initiative,verbal and nonverbal communication ability and prosocial behavior of peer communication,and also have significant negative predictive effect on them.The punishment of parenting style,the social initiative of severe communication with peers,verbal and nonverbal communication ability and prosocial behavior all have significant negative correlation,and also play a significant negative predictive role on them.Denial of parenting styles has a significant negative correlation with children's social initiative,verbal and nonverbal communication ability and prosocial behavior,and also has a significant negative predictive effect on them.Parents' preference for parenting style has a significant negative correlation with children's social initiative,verbal and nonverbal communication ability and prosocial behavior,and also has a significant negative predictive effect on them.(2)Executive function has significant positive correlation with children's social initiative,verbal and nonverbal communication ability and prosocial behavior in peer interaction,and executive function can significantly positively predict children's social initiative,verbal and nonverbal communication ability and prosocial behavior in peer interaction.(3)There is a significant negative correlation between the dimension of denial of parenting styles and executive function,and denial of parenting styles can promote the development of Speculative execution function.
