Research On The Strategy Of Adapting TV Drama In Network Novels

With the development of film and television culture in today’s society,more and more film and television creators have turned their eyes to online novels that have commonality with TV dramas,starting with the successful adaptation of "First Intimate Contact" and appearing in recent years.The revamped online novels,such as "Pictures","Biography","Ode to Joy" and other phenomenal TV dramas,have attracted the eyes of film and television creators to the field of online novels;so the adaptations of various subject types began to flood.On the screen,the quality of the screenplay can be unsatisfactory.Often high ratings are accompanied by low word-of-mouth.TV dramas adapted from popular online novels,but netizens and viewers are not always buying.What are the reasons? The online novel "Hou Gong·Biography" has become a master of the cultural and artistic similarity of similar novels.The TV drama of the same name,which was adapted from it,quickly became popular throughout the country.The resulting "squat" language style was popular among the audience and became a long-lasting cultural phenomenon.Until now,TV stations have been playing back.This TV series shows its popularity.It can be seen that compared with other TV dramas adapted from online novels,"Hou Gong·Biography" has a more lasting and far-reaching influence and typical significance.Therefore,this thesis mainly takes "Hou Gong·Biography" as an example.Through the case analysis of novel texts and film and television texts,this paper finds out the factors involved in the adaptation of online novels,and then proposes strategies and suggestions for adapting TV dramas from online novels.
