Su Tong is an outstanding writer in the contemporary Chinese literary world,and also a novelist with a "dream".In the past 30 years,Su Tong has been penetrating and constantly seeking breakthroughs in self-transformation.In his novel narrative,he combines his own growth experience and spatial experience,and in his self-memory and magnificent imagination,he has created a spiritual home full of unique charm,a "paper above the circle." From "Xiangchunshu Street" to "Fengyangshu Township",from the edge of the city to the countryside,the combination of vanguard and classical,Su Tong does his best to realize his "Southern" imagination,and then look back at his hometown and depict the world in the novel narrative.Stimulate emotions in order to find the source of the spirit.In the face of the "Southern" writing that is so prominent in space,the academic community has begun to explore this.Unfortunately,the research results are not very mature.Therefore,this thesis will analyze the text of Su Tong’s novels from the perspective of spatial narrative,try to make a comprehensive and in-depth study on the spatial narrative of Su Tong’s novels,obtain a new understanding of Su Tong’s novels,and provide a broader research and perspective for Su Tong’s research.On the basis of borrowing authoritative space narrative theory and mastering the detailed information about Su Tong,this thesis examines the spatial construction of Su Tong’s novels through text perusal,theory and text,and all aspects and perspectives.The thesis is divided into three parts: introduction,body and conclusion.The first chapter of the text begins with the origin of Su Tong’s novel space narrative,pursues Su Tong’s spatial experience,and explores Su Tong’s spatial consciousness.Because Su Tong first entered the literary world with avant-garde writers,he placed Su Tong in the group of pioneer writers,examined the spatial narrative dimension of avant-garde literature,and then explored the spatial consciousness and writing concept formed by Su Tong in the spatial experience of special historical era.The second chapter,through the relevant spatial narrative theory,through the fine reading of the text,macroscopically and microscopically,integrates and classifies the spatial narrative form existing in Su Tong’s novels,and combines the novel text to summarize its spatial characteristics.The third chapter analyzes the spatial narrative style of Su Tong’s novels,that is,the narrative strategy.Emphasis is placed on the unique spatial narrative technique used by Su Tong in the novel text: Su Tong spontaneously chooses the most familiar southern region in the novel as the background space of the novel narrative,and forms a more obvious binary juxtaposed spatial layout,breaking A linear narrative that uniquely deals with time and space in the text.The fourth chapter,in contrast to Su Tong’s novel space,explores Su Tong’s personal emotional orientation,comprehends the writer’s creative intentions,and reveals Su Tong’s inner world.All of these have presented the complexity of Su Tong’s novels.Nevertheless,this thesis tries to comprehensively analyze the spatial narrative of Su Tong’s novels while following the novel narrative theory while following the space narrative theory.Although the research results of Su Tong’s novels are quite rich,I still hope that this paper will contribute to the weak links in Su Tong’s research.
